GLAMI has been recognized as one of the fastest-growing technology startups in CEE by Deloitte Fast Forward 2019 and 2020. GLAMI AI team works with some of the largest datasets and state of the art Machine Learning models. The team is responsible for entire ML projects from the research phase through development all the way to evaluation, deployment and monitoring in production. Our biggest projects are in Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing (after all GLAMI is present in 18 markets) and we also have our own internal Recommendation system serving 100M+ personalization requests each month.
🏋️♀️THE CHALLENGE…
We are looking for someone who is interested in Machine Learning and Software Engineering in Python, who will fit well into our friendly and supportive collective. Being a fresh graduate looking to transition into a commercial environment is completely fine. In the beginning, you would be helping with either the categorization or the personalization system where we have several experiments and new ideas in mind. You would also get a chance to build greenfield AI tools, like internal MCP servers and other proof-of-concept projects. There would also be opportunities to help out with other projects since we all strive to understand what everyone else on the team is working on. Whole team participates in internal weekly ML meet-ups sharing knowledge with peers from other companies, and organizes the public Miton AI Times events.
📈WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
🔧 Role 1: (Junior) ML Engineer – Classification & LLMs
You’ll work on:
- Improving and scaling our text & image classification systems.
- Integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into our multimodal ML stack.
- Designing experiments to reduce the need for manual data labeling.
- Learning the inner workings of our in-house categorization system, capable of classifying 1.5B items monthly.
- Using our internal tools for deploying, monitoring, and tearing down models in AWS.
🤖 Role 2: (Junior) ML Engineer – Recommendations & AI Prototyping
You’ll focus on:
- Evolving our internal recommendation engine serving 100M+ requests per month.
- Evaluating and implementing models, analyzing training data, writing production code in all parts of the system.
- Working with a modern recommender using both neural nets and classic machine learning to enable real-time response time.
- Gaining hands-on experience with the whole lifecycle of production ML projects such as system design, development, deployment, and monitoring.
✅ WHAT YOU WILL NEED?
- A solid base in ML and software development (a technical degree helps).
- Python skills and familiarity with ML libraries (e.g. Numpy, Pandas, PyTorch).
- Some experience with or willingness to learn: Bash, APIs (FastAPI/Flask), Linux, AWS.
- Proactive mindset, empathy, and clear communication.
- English fluency (our team is international).
