Purple Technology is the heart of the Purple Group, which has been operating in finance and technology since 2011. From the very beginning, the company has focused primarily on developing technological solutions for financial services, such as applications for forex brokers that facilitate the trading of tens of billions of dollars on the foreign exchange market (Forex) every month by thousands of clients worldwide. In addition to technology, Purple Technology provides services in payments, risk management, marketing, HR, consulting, and business intelligence. The founders of Purple set out to build a thriving company with strong values and a culture of freedom. They see the future in innovation within financial products and processes, but above all, in fostering a work environment based on autonomy and flexibility. Through its existence and activities, Purple Technology supports the entire Purple Group, which includes a licensed securities brokerage firm, the evaluation platform Fintokei, a venture capital fund investing in tech startups, and even its own charitable foundation.

The Purple Group was co-founded by Filip Řehoř, David Kašper, and Jakub Nytra.
All three had prior experience in various brokerage firms but were dissatisfied with the way these companies operated—in terms of client approach and technological solutions. Initially they used third-party solutions, but these lacked the level of comfort and efficiency they wanted to offer their clients. Over the years, they developed their own proprietary technology, which eventually became Purple Technology.
By continuously improving their solutions, staying customer-focused, and providing top-tier technical support, they built a strong reputation. Purple Technology thrives on people, a passion for innovation, and a mission to modernize the financial industry.


Our vision doesn’t just stay on paper – we turn it into reality. I feel it's because we have this "do it attitude" – meaning we want to drive things forward and make progress.
It's about a fair approach to clients. We want to do this in the long run. It's not just about making money and not caring about what happens in two years.

The strength of Purple Technology lies in our ability to stand together, even in tough times. For us, company culture isn’t just about perks or great teambuilding—it’s about collaboration, trust, perseverance, and the belief that we can overcome anything together, in good times and bad.
We’ve faced challenges and difficult periods, but we’ve always pushed forward, finding solutions instead of excuses. We own our mistakes, apologize when needed, and quickly adapt to new situations. Every setback is a lesson, and we’re committed to constant growth and improvement.
Refining Communication
One example of how we learn and improve from our mistakes is communication. We all know it’s the foundation of a healthy company, yet it’s just as easy to neglect. At one point, we realized we had almost stopped communicating with our people entirely. That’s something we’re actively working to change.
We now openly share both successes and challenges. We strive to keep everyone informed about what’s happening across business units, create roadmaps, hold quick stand-ups every three weeks, and meet quarterly at our “all-hearts” gathering. We’re far from perfect, but what we do well is using communication to overcome obstacles and keep moving forward together.

Today, Purple Technology is no longer just us. Over the years, we’ve become part of Purple Holding, a group of like-minded companies working under the same philosophy. Purple Trading operates as our securities brokerage firm. Purple Next focuses on developing our own payment solutions. Purple Ventures invests in exciting fintech startups and businesses, spreading our vision of a free-spirited company culture. Our youngest member, Fintokei, is a proprietary trading platform.
Last but not least, we take pride in our Purple Foundation, a charitable fund dedicated to helping those in need. Together, we form one big Purple Team—a group of people who share the same values and approach to business.

Since expanding our technologies and services into Asia, we’ve been experiencing continuous growth. Our customer base keeps expanding, and the trading volumes have reached levels we couldn’t have imagined in the beginning. We develop new products, track trends, and constantly seek new business opportunities to unlock our full potential. This growth also brings a fast-paced work environment. Markets shift so quickly that no two days are ever the same. We might finalize plans for the next week in the afternoon, only to see them change completely within half an hour. Adapting to this unpredictability isn’t just necessary—it’s something we embrace. It’s the spice that keeps our work exciting and fulfilling.

Freedom has always been a key priority for us. We’ve never focused on when or where you work—only the result matters. For a long time, we’ve promoted anywhere office as a major perk, allowing people to work from virtually anywhere. This still holds true: if your work doesn’t require you to be in the office at a given moment, we don’t mind whether you’re working from a café, a cabin, or your living room. However, we’re not a fully remote company either—we see great value in meeting at the office. Personal relationships matter to us, and face-to-face collaboration is often irreplaceable.
At first glance, this might seem like an easygoing, carefree environment. But it’s not for everyone. For us, freedom isn’t just about personal comfort—it’s built on deep trust that no one wants to break. The team matters
For us, teambuilding isn’t forced, organized fun. We genuinely enjoy spending time together—both at work and beyond. We work, play sports, go on trips, grab breakfast, dinner, beers after work, and celebrate together. We work out in our office gym, host tournaments, play board games, and often spend weekends together. There’s always something happening, and anyone can join. That’s why many of us love coming to the office—it’s always buzzing with energy, laughter, and conversation.
You won’t find punch cards, ties, or pointless rules here. Of course, with our growing team, some structure is necessary, but we introduce rules thoughtfully to keep things smooth without being a hassle. What you will find is a team of friends and colleagues from all over the world, a great sense of humor, and the freedom to shape your work in a way that keeps it exciting.

I appreciate it when a person is humble. It's an amazing quality that I value, and we mostly have such people here. Sometimes juniors come in who don't believe in themselves, but we give them a chance, and today, after six years, they've grown a lot – and that makes me happy.
We constantly remind everyone that having plans is great, but we are in such a dynamic industry that if someone is looking for stability and absolute certainty, they won't find it here – because those plans can change overnight.

We stay humble and never forget why we started: dissatisfaction with the practices of traditional brokerage firms. At the time I started working in Purple Technology, I was reading a couple of books on companies who offer freedom at work, but hadn’t thought for a second that something like this might exist in the Czech Republic. It’s unbelievable but true. This company realizes that when people grow, the company grows with them. The human potential is viewed as a key value.
Purple Technology is my passion; I can't imagine working anywhere else. It's a place where I know I can grow, learn new things, and nothing holds me back.

We see business as a game where we constantly improve, gain new experiences, and level up. Each new level brings fresh challenges and valuable lessons to learn. We play this game because we enjoy it. Our business isn’t a solitary shooter; it’s a team game that we play together—even if we’re connected online from different parts of the world. We don’t live solely for work. Work is a meaningful part of our lives. That’s why our office has a gym, sauna, terrace with a grill, and plenty of fresh fruit. And if you’re feeling tired, just take a nap in our Nap Room and get back to work when you’re recharged.
Before we entered the Asian market, there was a time when we didn’t have too much to do. I decided back then to learn some new technologies and suggest upgrading the current system. It was an amazing self-evolving experience for me, and we made great use of it when entering the Asian market.


Throughout my career, there have been challenges, and everyone faces moments when they must step out of their comfort zone and feel uncertain. And here, I realized that with the right environment and people, these challenges can be overcome. They provided me with support and space for reflection, allowing me to see what I’ve been through and what I can take away from it.
Purple.LAB()
What began with three programmers building websites has evolved into a full-fledged development studio—Purple.LAB(). For a long time, we handled everything as requests came in. Today, each company has its own dedicated team, while developers, QA specialists, and project leads form a tribe to consolidate share knowledge. Each team has its own subculture—some are into board games, others thrive on memes—but we all share the same drive, responsibility to push things forward, and a good sense of humor. Even when things go sideways, we keep a cool head, solve the issue, and laugh about it later. In our free time, we contribute to the serverless community, host meetups, and share insights on how serverless architecture works at Purple Technology. And of course, we’re always up for a beer together.
