GLAMI was founded in 2013 when Tomáš Hodboď and his colleagues from previous successful projects set out to build a global e-commerce product. Since then, they have been building the ultimate fashion platform combining search features and personalized recommendations, not just in the Czech Republic, but on a pan-European scale. It is, first and foremost, a tech company focused on leveraging cutting-edge technologies—primarily AI and algorithms—for the best possible user experience. The goal is to simplify and enhance the user's fashion shopping journey, accommodating their needs and personalizing content. Today, GLAMI operates in 13 markets and is comprised of roughly 100 people working from Prague, Liberec, or remotely from various corners of Europe. It still maintains its startup culture: high autonomy, space for ideas and growth, great relationships, and social events that are integral to GLAMI. Beyond the core catalogue, the team is also dedicated to developing new products, such as the new Dyllz app. This app aims to aggregate offers from across the internet, saving users time and providing them with access to exclusive deals on premium fashion items.

It's also refreshing to be in an environment where you can be yourself and speak your mind honestly—respectfully, of course. 

Each team has the freedom to set its own rituals and ways of working. We have a hybrid model; if you arrange it with your team, you can work remotely for up to a month straight, perhaps from Bali. We also have colleagues working on international markets who are based primarily remotely abroad. We meet in person several times a year. Our offices truly come alive then as we share experiences and stories. We combine the best of both worlds: remote flexibility and the energy of our face-to-face gatherings.

One of GLAMI's greatest benefits is the opportunity to grow. We have an unlimited education budget and dedicated time each year that we can devote to learning and development. It's up to us whether we choose an interesting course, conference, or webinar. You simply block off "self-study" in your calendar, and everyone respects it. AI Days operate on the same principle, where we encourage people to try various AI tools and ways to improve the product, or simplify work for themselves or the whole team. Sharing new insights and know-how is also a key part of our culture. GLAMI is, first and foremost, a tech company implementing the latest technologies in the fashion world. We began building our internal AI department back in 2018, long before the global AI boom. For us, AI isn't just a trend we've jumped on; it's integral to our thinking, whether we're dealing with product, internal processes, or marketing campaigns.

We invest significant effort and time in process automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. And this isn't limited to our AI team. Support for AI use comes directly from leadership, led by Janek, and naturally permeates the work of the entire team. Our goal isn't just to be a great platform for fashion search; we want to be the ones setting e-commerce trends.

We know decisions must be based on data and facts, not just feelings. We have tons of data and strive to use it to its full potential. We expect everyone on the team to understand the numbers their work impacts. We test new strategies daily.

In the marketing performance team, we fine-tune campaigns and analyze results to ensure every marketing budget delivers maximum impact—whether that means revenue growth, conversions, or quality traffic for our partners. We manage budgets in the millions, but rather than being overwhelmed, we enjoy testing new approaches and pushing our results further.

Size? Just the right fit

GLAMI is just the right size. We're not a chaotic startup, nor a cumbersome corporation. Startups are often just fighting fires and patching things together. Corporations, meanwhile, create processes for processes' sake and hold meetings just to fill calendars.

We are somewhere in between—large enough to do things properly and plan for growth, yet still agile enough to move fast and decide effectively. Here, you have room to make a real impact: to create, test, and improve. No anonymity, no hiding in the crowd. Everyone sees the impact of their work, and together, we move the company forward.

An environment we create ourselves

We believe great work happens in an environment where people simply feel good. We have beautiful offices filled with plants, great coffee, and every Thursday, we eagerly line up for soup. At the same time, we know how important focus time is, so we have a hybrid model: three days working together in the office and two days home office.

We support building relationships outside of work, too. Each team has its own budget for activities and decides what suits them best. Some enjoy sports, others love arcade games, and some prefer brainstorming over a team breakfast. We have Multisport cards and enjoy using them—either individually or together, perhaps for Christmas ice-skating or summer volleyball.

A favorite shared ritual is bringing back sweets from our vacations. And, of course, we are dog, kids, and bike friendly!

On our team, you'll meet loads of smart and talented colleagues from different corners of the world. Everyone has their own interests and experiences—which means it's never boring here.

Over lunch or coffee, you might learn something new about fashion, tech, specific cultures, or even the origin of the word 'vegan,' as our colleague published his own vegan cookbook. GLAMI in Prague

In Prague, you'll find us in Karlín, one of the city's liveliest neighborhoods, full of cool companies, cafés, bistros, and green spaces. We are based in the Corso building and share a floor with Miton, along with know-how, inspiration, and various solutions. We organize events together, ranging from Miton Times (focused on AI tech) and river trips to our popular Halloween parties. When we need a change of scenery, we use the courtyard behind the building instead of a meeting room or take a walk along the river. Our classic "one-on-ones" often turn into "walk & talks," which is always much more pleasant!

GLAMI in Liberec

Miton was founded in Liberec, where part of our development team is based. Our offices are in an attic space, which we share with BIANO, another company in the Miton portfolio.

The offices have a unique atmosphere—cozy, creative, and a bit punk. The team also enjoys meeting up after work and occasionally exploring the beauty of the Liberec region together.
